Aiyla Arif is a graduate student researcher working with the George Washington University on “Changing the Narrative on Firearms Violence” project.

Aiyla Arif is a graduate student at George Washington University working towards earning a Master of Public Health with a concentration in public health communication and marketing. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor with majors in Neuroscience and Communication and Media. Previously in her academic career, Ms. Arif helped organize a National School Walkout event to protest the lack of response that follows school shootings in America.
