Steering Committee

The Community Firearm Violence Prevention Network priorities and activities are governed by a Steering Committee which includes at least two representatives from each of the Research Projects (e.g., both academic PI and community organization/partner key personnel or PI), the Coordinating Center, and at least one NIH representative.

The Steering Committee (managed by the Coordinating Center) is the primary governing body of the network. The responsibilities of the Steering Committee include:

Development and monitoring policies and procedures guiding the research activities

Review and approval of collaborative research activities

Dissemination planning for products resulting from collaborative projects across the network
