Dr. Jack Tsai, PhD is a Co-Investigator for the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston project “Incorporation of a Health Equity Approach to Hospital Violence Intervention Programs: The Integration of a Community and Hospital Based Initiatives to Reduce Gun Violence in a Large Metropolitan Area.” He is a member of the Data and Methods workgroup for the Community Firearm Violence Prevention Network.

Jack Tsai, PhD is a Professor of Public Health at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. He is a licensed clinical psychologist with experience providing direct care to adults with severe mental illness and posttraumatic stress disorder. He has over two decades of experience conducting research on the health and well-being of low-income populations funded by federal, state, and local grants. Notably, he has done work on issues related to firearm ownership and safety, criminal justice involvement, and suicide among military veterans.
