Dr. William Hillegass is a Co-Investigator with the University of Mississippi Medical Center project “A Proposal to Establish the Mississippi Violence Injury Prevention (VIP) Program” and is a member of the Data & Methods Workgroup and Policy, Implementation and Economics Workgroup for the Community Firearm Violence Prevention Network.

Dr. Hillegass is an Associate Professor of Data Science and Medicine, cardiologist and biostatistician at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. His applied research consists of the design, conduct, and analysis of clinical trials and observational studies for a broad range of health conditions as well health economic analyses and population health simulation studies. His methodological statistical research focuses on improved clinical trial designs, robustness of network meta-analysis, and simulation methods.
